Adhub adds to its hub

Adhub has won the rights to a couple of rather attractive online properties, becoming the sole agency for display advertising and sponsorship sales representation for allblacks.com and acquiring the New Zealand sales account for LonelyPlanet.com through its relationship with BBC.com.

allblacks.com is a great addition to our hub,” says Josh Borthwick, adhub’s managing director. “We focus on quality sites that allow our advertisers to target very specific audiences online. What better time to represent such a great brand than in the height of the biggest sporting event ever to take place in New Zealand.”

The official site hosts the latest news pictures and video, plus player profiles and information about upcoming matches. It was voted world’s top rugby union site by ESPN in 2010 and is the top rugby site of New Zealand. The site currently has 55,470 domestic monthly unique visitors, with a rise of 200 percent expected over the RWC.

BBC Advertising, the global ad sales department of BBC Worldwide, will now represent lonelyplanet.com in all global territories, following Australasian and US deals to sell its online advertising inventory. As the NZ sales agent for BBC.com, Adhub has absorbed LonelyPlanet.com into its network.

The site achieved record traffic in June, attracting 87 million unique users, a year on year rise of 62 percent. Lonely Planet was previously represented by AD2ONE.

Lonelyplanet.com recently won the People’s Voice Webby for Best Travel Site at the 15th Annual Webby Awards. It features Lonely Planet guidebook content, images, videos and maps covering over 8,000 destinations, as well as the ability to book, hotels, flights and a range of other services.
