BK’s pugilistic piece de resistance reigns supreme in October

20782The Burger King KO ad, which appeared the day after David Tua knocked the stuffing out of Shane Cameron has been awarded the Newspaper Advertising Bureau’s October ad of the month.

Y & R created the ad and Paul Courtney from Colenso BBDO, Rob Jack from Special and Vaughn Davis from Y&R (who, in case you’re wondering, abstained from the final selection) did the judging and said: “It was a great, very effective use of newspapers’ short lead time, being able to push that ad out so fast against a tight deadline”, the judges said.
