L-R: Carl Lough and Adele Glover

Track NZ has appointed a new senior art director, Carl Lough, to its creative team. Lough has expertise spanning digital, television, print, outdoor and direct, following stints at leading agencies in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

Lough will partner with senior copywriter, Danny Brown.

Jeff Harris, Track’s creative director, says Lough is a great addition to the agency and will further strengthen its creative team, deploying contextual creativity that transforms customer relationships.

“Carl is a class act, a true professional, a highly experienced senior art director with sought-after-skills. We’re thrilled to have him here to help us expand our fantastic creative department.”

Track is also pleased to announce the appointment of Adele Glover who has taken on the role of traffic manager. Glover has extensive experience across agencies, client-side and not-for-profits in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

Jeff says Glover is a consummate professional whose attention to detail, positivity and years of agency experience will ensure the creative team is humming.

“Adele comes to us with an immense knowledge and experience in traffic and production management. We are thrilled to have her, and we look forward to seeing her excel in this role.”

Big moves

IRI has announced the appointment of Craig Irwin as managing director for New Zealand.

Irwin joins IRI from Fonterra in New Zealand and brings over 20 years of experience in the FMCG sector across Australia, New Zealand and the UK.  During his career, Craig has held senior management roles within Fonterra brands, Frucor Suntory Beverages and Pharmacare Laboratories (Australia).

José Carlos González-Hurtado, president of International IRI says the company is delighted that Craig is joining IRI.

“He has a proven record of building and sustaining long-term partnerships with customers…in his new role at IRI, Craig will lead the team in New Zealand to ensure that our company continues to innovate and develop relevant and powerful solutions for IRI’s clients.”

Irwin says he is excited to be leading IRI in New Zealand, “particularly when IRI’s superiority in these areas, enables us to accelerate growth for our retail and manufacturer clients”.

Eight has announced it has signed Steve Saussey for representation in Australia, New Zealand and Asia.

Saussey has worked for all major agencies in Australia and New Zealand on brand campaigns across many categories, with more than 250 commercials to date for the New Zealand, Australian, American and Asian markets.

Katie Millington, managing director and executive producer at Eight, says everybody loves Saussey.

“It’s just such a pleasure having him in the building. He tells a bloody good story. He’s such a calming force and a wealth of experience, which is so exciting for our younger directors.”

For Saussey, transmuting ideas, stories, and feelings from page to the screen can be a complex, delicate, mysterious process.

“My first rule? Work with nice people who know what they’re doing. Hence the team at Eight. But don’t tell them I said that.”
