Team expands

L-R: Sonja Motus and Liz Holt.

Mango has announced four hires across its PR and experiential teams.

Liz Holt joins as a senior account director, leading key accounts including Samsung, American Express, Lion and booking.com.

Prior to Mango, Holt worked across a range of clients in tech, FMCG, financial services and aviation at agencies including PPR and Haystac, in addition to in-house experience at Chorus.

“It’s fantastic to be back at Mango – I interned here at the very beginning of my career and have always wanted to return to work alongside Claudia,” Holt says.

“I’m thrilled to be leading a talented team on such a great mix of clients.”

Sonja Motus also joins Mango as senior experiential project manager, after roles at Celebrations Group, Weta Digital and Selfridges in the UK.

“I love creative experiential and am really looking forward to being part of the incredible projects Mango delivers. The great thing about the team is we have a collaborative group of people who all bring different and excellent skills to the table,” Motus says.

Mango also welcomes Isabella Murison as account coordinator, and Romy Yildiz as experiential coordinator.

Claudia Macdonald, managing director at Mango, is excited by the new additions.

“This is a great time for Mango off the back of our gold for corporate PR and recognition as a one of New Zealand’s top PR consultancies at the PRINZ Awards last month,” Macdonald says.

“Our position as a genuine full-service communications agency is allowing us to work on a greater range of clients than ever before. From corporate to consumer, earned to owned, external to internal, and everywhere in between, the diversity of work we’re producing is fantastic and these new hires will enable us to deliver even more.”

Fresh faces

L-R: Chris Appelros and James Henderson

EightyOne are delighted to announce the arrival of two “healthy creatives” this week.

Chris Appelros and James Henderson arrived within moments of each other at 8.30am Monday 19 August.

A proud Chris Bleackley says “we’ve been trying for a while now and feel blessed to have such a talented pair join the family”.

Appelros and Henderson were delivered naturally from Assignment/VMLY&R where they conceived campaigns for BCITO, Instant Kiwi and Partners Life.

The EightyOne team “can’t wait to watch them grow and are looking forward to wetting their heads this week”.

New opportunities call

Storyation has appointed Eleanor Black as senior content specialist based in Auckland.

A former senior writer for the New Zealand Herald, Eleanor’s most recent role was channel director of lifestyle and entertainment for Stuff.

Storyation’s co-founder and head of content Lauren Quaintance says she was pleased to attract an editor of Black’s calibre to the agency’s growing New Zealand team.

“We are an agency founded by journalists who believe in creating content that is underpinned by good strategy and is valued by consumers,” she says.

“Eleanor knows how to connect with audiences at scale, and is perfectly positioned to help our New Zealand clients create content that delivers business results.”
