A pair of appointments

Pead PR has made two appointments to its lifestyle account management team, bringing on Fiona Hanlon and Aimée Higgins into account director roles.

A creative communication specialist with 18 years’ experience, Hanlon joins Pead PR as senior account director in the lifestyle division. Her credentials cover the consumer products, food and beverage and other industries.

Beyond her specialisation as public relations senior account director, Hanlon has also worked across advertising and design.

Meanwhile, Higgins joins as an account director, also on the lifestyle team. Having worked in Scotland and New Zealand, Higgins brings agency and in-house experience across big brand clients including Unilever Beauty, ANZ and Adidas as well as other UK brands like Dobbies Garden Centres. The bulk of her experience is consumer-focused, with some corporate PR and issues management.

Higgins also has considerable experience working on events, including MTV EMA 2014, the 2014 Commonwealth Games and the NZ British and Irish Lions Tour 2017.

In welcoming Hanlon and Higgins on board, agency managing director Sarah Munnik says it's excited to welcome the pair to the team.

"Both are seasoned professionals with enviable track records in industries where we’re already strongly positioned. The addition of their abilities to the team strengthens our credentials and ability to deliver positive outcomes in key accounts.”

Analyst appointment

Perceptive has announced Andy Strain will be joining the team as senior research analyst.

In the role, Strain will be involved in client management and research reports, as well as interpreting data and predicting current and future consumer trends.

Strain joins from Colmar Brunton where his focus was on quantitative research, mainly in advertising testing.

Taking charge

The Trade Desk has appointed Mitch Waters as senior vice president of South-East Asia, Australia and New Zealand (SEAANZ).

He’s been promoted from his role as the general manager of Australia and New Zealand.

Prior to joining The Trade Desk in 2017, he was the managing director of AOL Platforms in Australia and New Zealand, and also worked at Adap.TV.

In the new role Waters will take over full responsibility for the new SEAANZ region, based in Singapore.
