MKTG announces Kimberly Kastelan as general manager

Kimberly Kastelan is the new general manager MKTG in New Zealand, a promotion from her previous role as the agency’s group account director. The appointment follows Fleur Skinner’s resignation.

Skinner is departing from her role as well as her seat on Dentsu Aegis Network’s (DAN) Innovation Council, after almost 10 years in the business.

She joined DAN in 2009 to open the New Zealand office of Australian PR and content agency Haystac. In 2016, Haystac evolved to MKTG in New Zealand as DAN consolidated PR, social, experiential, sponsorship and sampling into one global network brand.

DAN New Zealand CEO Robert Harvey says Fleur has made a huge contribution both culturally and commercially to the business, from her initial time setting up Haystac, and then more recently with the launch and growth of the MKTG business.

“Fleur’s impact can be felt throughout our group and she leaves the business in excellent shape.”

In her place, Kastelan is stepping up after being group account director for four years.

Harvey says Kastelan has been an outstanding performer within the business and has earned the opportunity to lead the MKTG business and join DAN New Zealand’s executive leadership team.

“I’m confident that Kim will continue the great momentum that has been built. The MKTG team and our clients are in great hands.”

Skinner will depart at the end of this month, and will be taking time off to decide her next career step.

“I’m really proud of my contribution to DAN, and I’m very sad to say farewell, not least because of the many wonderful people there. But I’m really pleased to be leaving the agency in great shape and under Kim’s leadership.”
