John Miles steps into CEO role for the Marketing Association

The Marketing Association is readying itself this week for a change of hands in the role of CEO. John Miles will step into the position at the end of September, as its current CEO Tony Mitchell prepares for his departure.

Mitchell is scheduled to leave mid-September after two and a half years heading the company. Miles, who says marketing is in his DNA, has held roles in several industries across both New Zealand and Australia and makes the move from his current role at Laureate International Universities based in Auckland.

Jo Boerema-Barr, Chairman of the NZ Marketing Association, says “John is a strategic and innovative thinker, whose business and leadership experience will be invaluable to the MA as it continues to inspire business success through a connected and talented marketing community”

“On behalf of the board and staff, we thank Tony Mitchell for his leadership and passion in leading the NZ Marketing Association over the past two and a half years and wish him all the best with his governance career,” finished Boerema-Barr.
