Derek Lindsay exits OMANZ

The Outdoor Media Association of New Zealand (OMANZ) general manager Derek Lindsay is departing the organisation in order to focus on his own personal business.

Lindsay was appointed to the role of OMANZ general manager in early 2017 and has since re-branded and re-launched the OMANZ proposition. He’s also been progressing the set-up of a new industry audience measurement system along with the first example of the Effectiveness of Outdoor, with a new New Zealand case study soon to be launched into the marketplace.

He leaves at a time of significant change to the makeup of the outdoor industry, with Ooh Media acquiring Ashel and JCDecaux buying APN Outdoor.

Alongside the changing makeup, the industry is on the rise, with it achieving 18 percent revenue growth in 2017 according to OMANZ.

OMANZ is now looking for a new general manager to continue this work and further push the virtues of outdoor for more and varied communication campaigns
