As covid-19 has caused significant damage to the tourism world, Run agency and Niue Tourism have launched an integrated marketing campaign to let travellers know the small Pacific island is missing them too.
‘Fakaalofa lahi atu’ meaning ‘love towards you’ is the central message behind the marketing campaign launched by Niue Tourism. The campaign is set to assist the recovery of Niue’s tourism industry after being heavily impacted by the covid-19 crisis.
Phase one of the integrated campaign is to keep Niue in travellers’ minds, by reaching out in a sensitive manner to both New Zealand and the rest of the world affected by the pandemic.
With the help from Auckland based design and creative agency RUN, the campaign features ads with smiling Niuean faces and the island’s natural beauty, put together with photography and video footage shot prior to the covid-19 travel restrictions.
The above the line campaign will run across Niue’s digital channels, such as social media, Niueisland.com website and e-newsletters. Further support will be through a targeted PR programme organised by Raise Communications, which will echo the message that ‘Niue is missing you too.’
