Bullseye hits the mark with Auckland Airport

Bullseye New Zealand’s work with Auckland Airport, including the newly-launched Moments website, has played a big part in business director Claire Stewart securing a Sitecore annual digital strategist MVP award.

The award is given to Sitecore practitioners globally who execute data driven campaigns using its platform. This year it awarded 120 MVPs in 18 countries, with Stewart the only New Zealand recipient.

Bullseye has used Sitecore since 2007 and Sitecore nominates individuals for the MVP award based on their work in the past year. Nominees are then evaluated by a judging panel of technical and sales staff, product group teams and marketers.

Bullseye has worked with Auckland Airport since December 2012 and winning a competitive pitch to redesign its retail website. As well as the Moments campaign, Bullseye has refreshed the airport’s key site templates, developed its Chinese retail website carried out digital marketing campaigns and is currently working on the corporate website.

Digital is at the heart of the Moments campaign, Stewart says.

“The Auckland Airport marketing team came to us with wonderful insights about the genuine meeting and farewelling moments that occur daily at the airport. They wanted to develop a campaign around these meeting and farewelling occasions which in turn would facilitate greater engagement and footfall into the terminal,” she says.

People who have recently welcomed or said goodbye to someone at the airport can enter the competition by submitting a photo or video of the moment to win travel prizes. The competition is available via a banner on morefm.co.nz, on aucklandairport.co.nz/moments or the airport Facebook page until 15 April.

Agencies Consortium, Blackfoot and Porter Novelli led the campaign’s PR and radio effort as well as promotion at the airport.
