AnimfxNZ, the world’s leading conference for animation, visual effects, games and digital film, is offering Marketing Association members a two-day pass for only $450, a discount of $140 off the standard price of $590.

A two-day pass gives you entry into the keynote conference at Te Papa’s Soundings Theatre in Wellington on Friday 6 November and allows you to attend up to four workshops on Saturday 7 November. Morning, afternoon tea and lunch are included on both days, as is the Friday night Grow Wellington cocktail party and Sidhe Big Night party on Saturday night.

Under the theme, ‘Connecting Digital Entertainment’, this year’s conference is bringing together leaders from the four major creative digital mediums to share ideas and further the creation of digital entertainment and also includes master classes and workshops featuring some of the brightest minds in digital media.

2009 also sees the introduction of workshops for students and children to help inspire and motivate our burgeoning young animators and film producers.

“AnimfxNZ is becoming even more focused on bringing knowledge and skills to the digital media community,” said Jos Ruffell, Chairman of the New Zealand Games, Animation and Visual Effects Trust (NZGAV), the organizing body behind AnimfxNZ. “Leveraging the success of last year’s event, we will have more discussion of the trends in the creative industries and how they all exist in the digital ecosystem.”

Jeffrey A. Okun, Chair of the Visual Effects Society (VES) and partner of AnimfxNZ says: “I have visited New Zealand many times now. I have filmed there and worked there. And it gives me great joy to watch how AnimfxNZ brings to the world stage such great talent, integrity and artistry. The VES is extremely supportive and proud of our association with all the artists of New Zealand and I look forward to many more great conferences in your future.”
