Spark acquires Ubiquity, merges it with Qrious

Spark is broadening its data and marketing capabilities by acquiring Ubiquity and merging it with Qrious, Spark Venture’s data and analytics company.

Ubiquity was founded 17 years ago to be a technical muscle that works with agencies and clients to sort out customer communication across multiple channels through the power of data and marketing automation. And now, co-founder and managing director Nathalie Morris is excited about what the merger means for its clients, which include AA, Vodafone, AMI and Genesis Energy.

With Qrious committed to ramping up investment in the development of the Ubiquity Engage software programme, Morris says in the announcement that the merger will improve its ability to offer market leading functionality and keep clients ahead of the game with their marketing automation.

At the same time, she adds that the merger will give Ubiquity clients access to the full suite of big data and analytics for data-driven marketing offered by Qrious.

“We are confident that this end-to-end solution offered by the combined entity will bring significant additional value to clients. We are also looking to bring to market innovative products that integrate the Qrious data and analytics capability into the Engage platform.”

Morris says she will be staying with the business and is not anticipating significant changes to the people clients deal with on a day to day basis.

“This development is a great testament to the hard work and commitment of our people, and I would like to thank them, along with all the clients who have supported Ubiquity over the last 17 years,” she says.
