WPP AUNZ has announced John Gutteridge is returning to Australia to take on the newly created role of chief executive officer for Wunderman Thompson Australia/NZ.
Wunderman Thompson was formed last year when Wunderman and J. Walter Thompson united.
Gutteridge joins from his role as chief executive officer of JWT in Asia Pacific.

In his new role, Gutteridge will report into the CEO of WPP AUNZ (once appointed) and will also be a member of the WPP AUNZ Executive Committee responsible for driving innovation across the entire WPP group.
To take up the role, Gutteridge will return to Australia in the first quarter of 2019.
