Scott Coldham and Paul Wilson rough it for a good cause

Saatchi & Saatchi’s Paul Wilson and Colenso BBDO’s Scott Coldham are among the 150 influential Kiwis who will tonight be trading in their home comforts to sleep rough for a night in a bid to draw attention to the plight of the homeless as part of the Big Sleepout event.

The Lifewise event, now in its seventh year, has the bold objective of bringing an end to homelessness in New Zealand.

This year takes special significance given the influx of media reports telling of working families who have been forced to live in their cars across Auckland on account of not being able to afford housing.

Lifewise has set the objective of raising $400,000 for this year’s event, but the amount raised so far is still below $300,000.

The pair of admen will tonight be sharing the experience with some of Auckland’s most recognisable politicians and business people.

Wilson and Coldham are both in the top 20 fundraisers, with the former sitting in sixth place on $6,550 and the latter in 18th position on $3,230.

In 2015, Lifewise raised over $317,000 through the initiative.
