Apple gets this catchy ’80s track stuck in viewers’ minds

Apple has given second life to the Pixies’ 1988 track ‘Gigantic’ in a new spot that will have you mouthing along to the chorus about 45 seconds into the 90-second spot.

The first few scenes are dedicated to the utility that an iPhone offers to musicians, but before long it becomes evident that the iPhone has a broader application that reaches into virtually every aspect of our lives. And just to show us that Apple’s marketers follow no rules, the ad also includes a seemingly unrelated catchphrase that was borrowed from the Dove ‘Real Sketches’ campaign.
