After its last successful campaign, DDB has again teamed up with Paw Justice launching a campaign yesterday that aims to push sites such as Trade Me into incorporating regulations to stop puppy milling. As part of the campaign dubbed ‘Don’t Trade Me’, the agency and the not-for-profit listed auctions on Trade Me selling advertisements to support the campaign, and all of the ads sold out within the first five hours.

DDB New Zealand has had a few good account wins recently, including Icebreaker and the Auckland Council. And it did pretty well at Spikes Asia over the weekend too, winning enough trophies to be placed second in the agency of the year category behind Dentsu Tokyo.
Three of the local campaigns many hoped would appeal to the Cannes judges didn’t get the golds they were hoping for, but they did come away with bronze overnight, with DDB taking two bronzes for Sky’s #Bringdowntheking and Paw Justice’s Animal Strike and Colenso BBDO getting one for Samsung’s Smartphone Line.
Three Kiwi submissions have been shortlisted in the PR category at the 2014 Cannes Lions. Saatchi & Saatchi leads the charge with two beer-related nominations, while DDB is in contention for creative executed for animal rights.
