If you just so happen to be sitting on a chair on top of your Persian rug with a power chord nearby, clearly you like living dangerously. Or maybe you just don’t know that your chair is in fact a four-legged assassin conspiring with the other objects in and around your house to cause your demise. So, in an effort to draw attention to the unsuspecting objects that are often implicit in home-related injury, DraftFCB launched ‘Fight the 5’, its campaign for ACC’s Home Safety Action Week.

One of the great ironies of the advertising industry is the fact that advertising agencies, despite dispensing plenty of advice to their clients about the need to continue spending up large (especially during a recession), rarely advertise themselves. But DraftFCB has been the exception to that rule in New Zealand in recent years and it caught our attention with a campaign that showed off some of its remarkable powers of persuasion in Air New Zealand’s Koru lounges.
ACC has appointed DraftFCB for its advertising, marketing and design services. The incumbents were Clemenger and AIM Proximity.
DraftFCB may have missed out on the big NZ Post account after it was beaten to the letterbox by Clemenger BBDO, but it can take some comfort in the fact that it has just won another piece of guvmint business, taking the Maritime New Zealand account off Mission Hall after a four-way pitch.
