Pop-up stores are all the rage lately, so New Zealand Natural’s jumped on the experiential bandwagon with its new pop-up store, Melt, on Auckland’s Quay Street.

In a bid to persuade Finns that vanilla ice cream isn’t the most boring flavour available, Stockholm-based creative agency Perfect Fools recruited none other than 90s rapper Vanilla Ice to appear in a somewhat bizarre campaign for Consumo. But rather than flying the rapper to Finland and having him appear in person, the agency instead just video called him through the internet. What follows after this is a strange video in which a quartet of Finns engage in a range of games with the rapper.
Every year, in the lead up to summer, the major ice cream brands operating across the nation, release new flavours in a bid to attract consumers that search for respite from the heat in the shape of frozen dairy products. And for this year’s edition of the frozen aisle battle, Fonterra-owned Tip Top has added a new contender into the mix by launching the Top Notch range of premium ice creams.
