You say biscuit, I say cookie

Whether you refer to those delicious baked goods as cookies or biscuits is your business, but if you say cookies, you won't be popular with UK brand McVitie's. It's declared all out war on cookies in all forms, including the digital kind.

With the new Chrome plugin Shoot The Cookies users can help the cause. When they download the plugin, they'll detect the cookies (data that tracks internet visitors) on your machine and obliterate the ones you want to get rid of.

It's also a bid to raise awareness of data and privacy: you wouldn't want people knowing about that last embarrasing search, would you?
