Kiwi eggs coming to a retail store near you

Whittaker’s has come up with a new campaign in support of the flightless rockstars of inhabiting the Kiwi landscape.

The chocolate brand have partnered with Kiwis for kiwi, a national charity that aims to reverse the decline of kiwi numbers by raising and distributing funds to community-led kiwi conservation projects, for its release of a chocolate kiwi. Twenty cents from every purchase will be donated to the charity.

It’s finally hatched. Save the kiwi, eat a kiwi. Coming to stores soon. #eatakiwi

In a release brand manager Jasmine Currie said, “as a proud New Zealand company, working with Kiwis for kiwi felt like a natural fit for Whittaker’s. We are pleased to support a charity working to conserve and protect our national icon.”

The hollow chocolate kiwi is Whittaker’s first ever Easter product, and they are testing the waters with a limited number available this year Currie said.

It will be available in the five roll refined creamy milk and the 50 percent dark chocolate and two sizes, 75 grams and 150 grams.

The kiwi will be in stores nationwide soon.
