What it takes to be an Olympian

Team Canada follows the journey of Canadian skeleton racer Jane Channell who shares what it means to ‘be Olympic’.

The campaign video shows how Channell deals with the pressure of competing on the big stage at the Winter Olympics. The video accounts for the key stages of her preparation, from the initial nerves in the car to her preparation in the gym, before the finale in PyeongChang.

At the end of the piece, Channell says once she is on the ice with her sled, there is nothing left but the sound of the wind on her helmet.

The video is part of a wider ‘Be Olympic – Virtue and Victory’ campaign released in January that suggested Canada’s athletes are more then their athletic ability in an epic, slow-motion video.
