From New York to Sydney

In celebration of the launch of 236 episodes of Friends on streaming service Stan, New York’s most famous coffee shop Central Perk is heading to Australia. The real-life pop-up café will be opening in Hyde Park, Sydney for over two weeks.

Visitors will have the opportunity to get their photo taken on the Friends couch and will be able to win Friends merchandise and prizes. Stan will encourage visitors to post pictures to social media with the hashtag #FriendsOnStan.

The 'cafe' will be open from October 5 until October 18.

Newshub takes advantage of 1 News outage

On Wednesday night, 1 News watchers were left wondering where the news had gone after the broadcast cut out for more than five minutes. While the technical issues were soon resolved, Newshub saw an opportunity to convince 1 News watchers to change the channel.
