The lure of the surf

It's tough for brands and agencies to compete with the plethora of amazing GoPro surfing footage, but Samsung and 72 and Sunny Amsterdam have done a bloody good job with this two-minute film to promote its partnership with The Association of Surfing Professionals World Tour.

As the blurb says: "Directed by Mark Molloy via Exit Films, Melbourne and Smuggler, London, "Every Day Is Day One" intercuts scenes of pros like Kelly Slater, Mitch Crew, Gabriel Medina, Stephanie Gilmore and Johane Defay tackling heroic waves, with those of young amateurs giving it a go. No matter how experienced they are, they all encounter struggles. The point is to convey the idea that in surfing, no two days are the same and each one presents a new challenge."

Very nice, but maybe Samsung should also sponsor barefoot waterskiing?
