Creative agencies, take note. It appears beanies and a social media platform is all you need these days to get noticed. A frenzy of sorts erupted on Twitter last week as KFC posted a generous free giveaway of three branded red beanies.
You know the kind of beanie, the sort you get from the $5 bargain bin at The Warehouse, and that’s without a corporate logo on the front.

KFC reportedly had tons of entries, with many people seemingly gutted that they missed out such a high fashion garment.
But, wait, it’s ok because KFC managed to pull together and, drum roll, produced two pairs of socks for a giveaway. Dang.
Sorry for all those who missed out - we do also have a pair of socks if anyone wants those? pic.twitter.com/rQhVyT2jKk— KFC New Zealand (@kfcnz) June 16, 2016
