Last week we showed you the teaser released by internet company Squarespace ahead of its airing during the upcoming Superbowl in the US.
At the end of the trailer a web visitor, shocked by hit counters, trolls, epic fails and everything dark about cyberspace, waited to see if there was a better world.
The full ad doesn’t really deliver on the promise Squarespace professes to deliver: a better internet. That’s because talk about what’s better is limited to a voiceover at the end with a sterile white backdrop for a boring looking guy scrolling through a site on his laptop.
What we’ll remember is an extended version of the bad stuff, which now includes viruses, mortgage ads, discount offers and product recommendations.
