Countdown gets a slap for comparing apples with oranges

The Condescending Corporate Brand is a very entertaining Facebook page that takes aim at ridiculous attempts by brands to 'engage' with 'fans' on 'social media'. And Countdown has made it onto that list by asking its fans to take part in a "fruity showdown".  

As it says below: "This quality content is making me feel SO engaged right now." And there are some entertaining comments below too. 

As Tim Burrowes wrote in Mumbrella, this trend towards interaction at all costs means marketers are treating customers like morons. And Mark Duffy, an ad blogger who was working at Buzzfeed but is now at Vice catalogued a few other humorous examples of social media managers acting like dipshits
