The Compendium: 14 February

Ever since the Soviet days, when the Eastern and Western Blocs were separated by an icy iron curtain, two great arenas became battlegrounds where the two sides could fight for supremacy: one was the ice rink and the other was space. Now, several decades later, Coca-Cola has decided to re-ignite this fiery rivalry by bringing the two arenas together.

Neil Patrick Harris sings a romantic ode to sleep that is strangely reminiscent of 'Business Time' by Flight of the Concords.

The space race rivalry is also used as a symbol of superiority in this spot for Cadillac.

It seems that the producers of the Evolution door have access to some alien technology, because this marvel of engineering genius might just be one of the coolest things we've seen in a while.

This spot, which has been making the rounds on Upworthy over the last few days, takes the viewer on an emotional rollercoaster that starts at the intensity of war before looping around with the heartwarming entrance of a Labrador.

Norway shows its support for gay rights with an elaborate spot that features a few of the country's star athletes.

Cadbury gives all those confined to the drudgery of an office full permission to boogie in their chairs.

Diane Kruger helps Joshua Jackson to resurrect his acting career in a spot that showcases the purity of the emissions dispelled by the Mercedes F-Cell.
