Cleve Cameron continues to ‘Do’ it

Former JWT executive creative director Cleve Cameron—who left his cushy job in advertising to pursue his passion for music—has released his first music video for his album Welcome to the Primal Digital, for the single ‘Do’.

The music video, directed by Stephen Langdon, features Cameron showing off his dance moves and playing guitar, intercut with a variety of New Zealanders doing what they love to do.

Cameron launched his album on 19 May on iTunes with the genre of songs ranging from electro-punk to a new pacific-ska. However, before it was launched on iTunes folks could only listen to the album in his buddy and contributor Mandeep Singh’s (who plays the table) taxi.

When we last caught up with Cameron in May, he said he’d been up at the crack of dawn dancing away on Mt Victoria for the shoot, of which there is a clear shot of in the video as he jaunts and jives away.

“You do things you love to do,” Cameron said earlier. “JWT was super supportive while I was there … it’s become an exciting agency and it was time to take on new challenges.”
