Every year, StopPress asks players in the local industry for their reflections on the marketing year that was. Here’s what Sean Keaney, general manager of FCB Wellington, thought about 2015.
1. Favourite local campaign that isn’t yours
Lotto – what is it about lottery tickets and boats?
2. Favourite campaign that is yours
NZ Post’s , You Can with Charles Dance – it did what we needed it to and I got to meet Tywin Lannister!
3. Favourite international campaign
Nazis against Nazis from GGH Lowe – just clever.
4. Least favourite campaign
Youi……sorry can’t get past the creepy talent!
5. Your own biggest success
Joining FCB (that’s what I was supposed to say aye Brian)
6. Favourite magazine/website/TV show/radio show/podcast/news service/app/song/other
Give up Your Dreams by the Phoenix Foundation, these guys just get better and better.
7. Most ridiculous buzzword
“Connectability”
8. Best innovation
The My Food Bag chiller box – no longer have to worry about not being home at delivery time.
9. Most over-hyped ‘innovation’
Radio Live’s Paul Henry show – it’s just radio with pictures.
10. Best brands
Uber – love the cut of their gib.
11. Best stoush of the year
John Campbell vs TV3, sadly the best guy lost.
