We are Wgtn animators – hear us roar!

hoverlion logoHoverLion is brothers Ned and Rollo Wenlock and producer Rebecca Moore. They are the new animation and motion graphics kids on the block, up and running for just over a month at their Willis St locale. Their impressive CV makes them fresh candidates for TVC creation and production, title sequences, illustrations for print, animations for short films and web videos.

Ned is an illustrator and animator, who started out as a graphic designer at TVNZ. After an animating stint in London he returned to Wellington in 2001 where he worked at Fat Ltd and as an a animation director at Teaspoon Films.

Rollo is a motion graphics artist who returned from working for London production company Intro to set up HoverLion with his older bro."The advantage to clients, in that we are brothers, is they get to see us bicker first hand in meetings."

"But in all honestly," says Moore, "they're not that bad, I've only had to break up one, maybe two fights."

The art of story finding

There’s some often cited research that says we’re 22 times more likely to recall a story than we are a fact.
