TVCs of the Week: 5 February

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zdTiEtHO1YWho’s it for: Hyundai by Assignment Group and Homebase Films.

Why we like it: A good insight, a good ad and a good promotion. It’s the holy marketing trinity. And, for all those who need some towing assistance, there’s even a reversing guide.

Why we like it: Comparative advertising is fairly rare in New Zealand, but when done well it’s usually effective. And with some trademark Paul Ego cheek and a star turn from the little girl, Stickman makes a successful foray into the real world and gives Countdown a slap.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bOPstlx6K0Who’s it for: NZ Fire Service by M&C Saatchi and Exit.

Why we like it: It’s obviously pretty hard to like this given the subject matter, but the campaign is bloody powerful and will surely lead to more smoke alarms to being installed (check out the behind the scenes here).
