Strutting, preening and rampant ‘Blue Steeling’ ensues as top advertising models chosen

Like us, you’ll probably feel a little bit dirty for even being interested in this, but Colenso’s Tim Smith, resplendent in a luxurious velvet jacket, and Saatchi & Saatchi’s Gemma Copas, dazzling onlookers with her polka dots, have left the other hideously unattractive finalists in their ridiculously good-looking wake after taking out APN Outdoor’s inaugural Advertising’s Next Top Model competition.

The month-long competition was the second event under APN Outdoor’s networking program ‘Friends in High Places’ and was intended to to mark the launch of New Zealand Fashion week.

The six stunners who made it to the finals got there after visitors to The Friends in High Places website chose their favourites. And the two winners were chosen after being put through several extremely taxing model challenges and asked a range of tough questions by MC Brendhan Lovegrove.

APN Outdoor, General Manager, Phil Clemas said: “The second Friends in High Places event provided a great platform for one quirky, creative industry to support another. All advertising agencies came together over the last three weeks to support New Zealand fashion through this fun, tongue in cheek competition. The nominees, finalists and judges were all great sports, helping make the night a total success.”
