More moves, more shakes

New Zealand Post’s Targeted Communications division has made three new appointments in the last month as it looks to grow its presence in the digital arena.

The posties see digital strategy playing an integral part in the future direction of the company, with initiatives on the horizon that will link traditional direct marketing with online and mobile.

Putting the e into mail will be David Murphy, who was part of the team that launched TVNZ On Demand, as strategic consultant – digital, Ritsa Magiannis, formerly digital marketing manager at Loyalty NZ, as e-Marketing consultant, and Hamish Congalton, formerly of Fairfax Digital, as client solutions manager – digital.

Over at Fairfax, Sarah Putt has been appointed as the new Editor of Computerworld magazine.

Putt has spent the last five years specialising in telecommunicatiosn and technology journalism, last year relaunching Telecommunications Review magazine in both print and online forms.

Computerworld is proving a popular read. Nielsen readership survey from last year showed the magazine’s readership rose to 49,000 from the previous year’s figure of 36,000 while online traffic to its website (unique browsers) grew 21 percent.
