Marketing Awards to host shock announcement

The TVNZ-NZ Marketing Awards, to be held on August 26 at Auckland's Langham Hotel, is promisng to shock guests with an announcement similar in magnitude to the devaluation of the currency in 1984, the resignation of Prime Minister David Lange in 1989 and the arrival of Doritos in 2010.

"Marketers will amazed at what will be announced," says Marketing Association's chief fruit Sue McCarty.

"I predict they will they shocked and amazed," says NZ Marketing magazine publisher Vincent Heeringa.

Both say that marketers ought to rush to book tables, chairs, floor space, whatever remains to be purchased for the August 26 event.

"It's standing room only, and not just because we've saved on chairs," says Amy Bullen, the organiser of the biggest night in marketing.

The awards tickets can be bought here and here and here and here.
