Holden creates a hero to trumpet its new Colorado

Holden New Zealand has released a new TVC for its Colorado, via Special and Fish, featuring a hero who uses his vehicle to do a good deed.

The ad tells the story of a Holden driver who comes to town and rights a wrong, all the while showing off the new Colorado’s 3.5 tonne towing and low-end torque.

“Of course, the new Colorado has so much more than just loads of grunt,” Holden GM of marketing, Marnie Jane Samphier says. “Apart from its great new looks and redesigned interior it’s loaded with the latest tech and has real car-like drivability.”

Special creative director Angus Hennah says the agency wanted to tell a hero’s story. “Gregor from Fish did a fantastic job bringing to life, what really is, a modern-day Wester. The town of Thames was a great backdrop for our story.”

Online, Holden has also released another clip for the Holden Colorado 7 Trailblazer, also showing off the vehicle’s impressive towing power.
