Gunn Report declares The Sweet Shop most-awarded production company in Asia Pacific, Colenso tops New Zealand agency category

Only a week after leaving the Axis Awards with the Production Company of the Year gong for the third year in a row, The Sweet Shop has now been announced as the most-awarded production company in the Asia Pacific region in the 2013 edition of the Gunn Report.

Released annually since 1999, the Gunn Report gives a break down of the the creative agencies and production companies that have received the most awards from major awards ceremonies in a given year.

In addition to overall acknowledgement for its contribution to the industry over the year, The Sweet Shop also received further good news as it was announced that director Steve Ayson was listed as the fifth most-awarded director in the world for 2013, with his spot ‘Beer Chase’ for Carlton Draught being the third top-awarded TVC in the world for 2013.

“This is huge recognition for some great work crafted by many people. Especially to Steve Ayson and Clemenger BBDO Melbourne for their genius with Carlton Draft. Not to mention the collective Sweet Shop team, our very fine directors, producers, management and the team that supports them all. Take a bow,” said The Sweet Shop CEO Paul Prince.

When it came to New Zealand's creative agencies, Colenso BBDO, somewhat predictably, came out on top, pipping FCB and DDB to take the title as the most-awarded agency in New Zealand for 2013.
