G.J. Gardner Homes delves into the building process to offer up advice

G.J. Gardner Homes is on a mission to make the home-building journey more enjoyable in its first campaign by 99’s content production unit, The Workshop.

Called ‘Home Prep’, the campaign offers a step-by-step guide to the building process with a booklet that delves into in a series of videos presented by the brand’s new ambassador, Simon Barnett.

In keeping with the book theme, there’s a 60-second pop-up book style TVC that introduces ‘Home Prep’. Then for those who want to know more, there’s a series of four shorter videos exploring each chapter of ‘Home Prep’ and a longer four-minute how-to guide.

The videos will be delivered primarily through social media and G.J. Gardner’s owned channels.

Managing director of G.J. Gardner Homes says it’s proud of ‘Home Prep’, which has been created from 20 years of experience, research and customer feedback.

“The TVC campaign created by 99 and The Workshop to launch this initiative is the result of a lot of hard work and understanding of what we want to achieve with ‘Home Prep’. Simon Barnett, with his renowned integrity and values, is a great fit with G.J. as an ambassador and he was equally as excited about being involved with ‘Home Prep’ to help New Zealand consumers make great decisions in building their new home,” he says.

And while it’s G.J. Gardner’s experience that’s shaped this campaign, The Workshop’s project director, Gina Kelly, says the brand was open to its ideas and allowed the team to craft a creative output.

Using the agency’s in-house production facilities, The Workshop team carried out the filming, including a green screen shoot, plus animation, sound, editing and grading.

Kelly adds The Workshop is just as passionate about ‘Home Prep’ as G.J. Gardner is, and believes it’s the beginning of a great relationship with the brand.
