Federation wins Zoetis account

Federation has added global animal health company Zoetis to its client list following a three-way pitch.

The pitch is understood to have involved the two incumbent agencies, which are both Auckland based (although these remain unnamed at this stage).

Federation CEO Sharon Henderson says the win is a significant one as it encompasses both consumer marketing in the companion pet sector, and also B2B marketing in the rural and vet sectors for large animal health.

“Our mandate is to deliver strategic partnership, brand development, CRM, B2B and retail marketing. It’s also a win for Federation’s specialist content marketing division Hubbub; who will deliver PR and content,” she says.

The win brings together the entire stable of Zoetis products, including animal health medicines and vaccines, under the one roof at Federation.

Zoetis marketing manager Geoff Langford says Federation was a stand-out for both the depth of its strategic thinking and the refreshing approach it took to creative strategy.

“The agency will work with Zoetis to unlock the value of every brand, while using market and customer data to deliver a superior customer experience that is more relevant and engaging,” he says.

All Zoetis brands move from incumbents to Federation, while the media remains with media agency, MBM.

Zoetis now sits alongside Federation’s other clients including, Auckland Transport, Emirates and Canon.
