APN Outdoor appoints Mike Watkins general manager

Following the recent departure of Phil Clemas, APN Outdoor has appointed Mike Watkins as its new general manager.

Watkins arrives with 20 years' experience across a range of agencies and most recently served as the head of Social@Ogilvy.

Previous to this, he worked as the chief operating officer and founder of Post Creative Group, the group general manger at Designworks and also held senior roles at DDB and M&C Saatchi.

Richard Herring, the chief executive of APN Outdoor welcomed the arrival of Watkins.

"With his extensive experience across different areas of the industry, Mike will bring a fresh perspective and new approach to the business. Mike’s skillset, customer-centric focus and plethora of industry contacts will serve him well in this role and we look forward to watching his growth and success on this new journey,” Herring said.

Watkins is expected to join the business in mid-August, to close out Q3 with APN Outdoor and lead the team into the final months of the year.
