Desks shift, new swipecards issued at Colenso and McCann

Colenso BBDO has welcomed strategic planner Steve Clark into the fold and announced the promotion of Levi Slavin from deputy creative director to plain old creative director.

Clark has been working in strategic planning at Mojo under Martin Yeoman. His move from Mojo to Colenso will see him working alongside Colenso BBDO ECD Nick Worthington, a former colleague at Mojo and BBH London.

Slavin’s promotion comes less than six months after he returned to Colenso from Saatchi & Saatchi London. He joins fellow Colenso creative directors Steve Cochran and Aaron Turk. The Australian had a stint at Colenso back in 2006, making a mark with work including Tip Top “Tog, Togs, Togs” and the launch of Frank soft drink.

Meanwhile, McCann Worldgroup has appointed Sue-Ellen Craig to the newly created role of general manager in the Auckland office.

Since re-opening 17 months ago, McCann has built on its foundation client of one (L’Oreal Group) to a secure stable of sixteen clients, prompting the network to invest in its New Zealand presence.

Craig was lured to McCann from Ogilvy, where she headed up Ogilvy PR and was group account director across PlaceMakers and AA Insurance. After over 15 years in the industry Craig’s work history includes roles at Whybin/TBWA, consortium, Maxxium, Grey and DDB.

It’s fair to say she sounds pretty chuffed to be joining McCann:

“I get to work with talented people who share my values, working with well-known brands and the largest agency network in the world. I also get to work in an office with a pool table, stereo, free diet coke and even natural light. So am I thrilled? It’s career nirvana!”
