Copper’s Clark to sit on Marcomms Leadership Group throne

Megan Clark has been elected chair of the CAANZ Marcomms Leadership Group (MLG), replacing Claudia Macdonald, who is stepping down following her two-year term in the hotseat.

Clark is the managing director of Copper Brand Experiences and has 20 years experience in marketing, events and developing experiential programmes for leading global and New Zealand brands.

“Marcomms concepts that allow brands to touch consumers through memorable experiences and directly influence purchase are becoming increasingly important in the new marketing world,” says Clark (and the MLG , which is charged with highlighting and developing the value of PR and experiential communications, has done research on how important it is to the industry). “I am lucky enough to work in an incredibly dynamic and exciting industry that has potential for huge growth. Being afforded the opportunity to lead the MLG and help drive that growth is a real privilege.”

New CAANZ chief executive Paul Head says Clark is at the forefront of the experiential marketing industry and her knowledge and strategic vision will prove invaluable in continuing to raise the profile and strength of the marcomms sector.

MLG members are drawn from independent agencies or marcomms divisions within larger agency groups that are involved in a wide range of marketing communications including public relations, ambient, activation, experiential or events.
