Colenso gets charitable with St John

Colenso BBDO has earned a reputation for its cause-related communications, from its multi-award winning Doggelganger campaign for Pedigree to the brilliant Trial by Timeline for Amnesty International. And now it's aiming to help St John, New Zealand's primary frontline medical response organisation and the main provider of ambulance services. It takes over from Work Communications.

"We were very impressed with Colenso's strong portfolio of effective and award-winning work, particularly its cause-related campaigns," says Kate Tinkler, St John marketing manager. "We have great chemistry with their team and we look forward to working with them."

With increasing demand for its services and intense competition for the donation dollar (check out the St John fact sheet here to see what they get up to), Colenso will use its full range of services to invigorate the St John brand, attract new supporters and promote its various community-based programmes.

"We are very excited and proud to be working with such a respected and well-loved New Zealand organisation," says Nick Garrett, Colenso BBDO managing director. "St John does an incredible job providing essential health services in our local communities and we look forward to working with them to help them achieve their goals."

The collaborative approach: Woods Agency's Reuben Woods on tackling the world stage from Tauranga

When Reuben and Melissa Woods started Woods Agency in their spare bedroom in Papamoa Beach back in 2004, they only had one regular client, bedroom furniture company Design Mobel. Fourteen years on, their client list spans the length of New Zealand and into the Pacific Islands. We chat with Reuben about how they built an agency that focuses on developing regional companies into world-class brands.
