Cannes 2014: NZ lands 11 nominations in Direct category

Kiwi entries in the Direct Marketing category have been shortlisted in 11 sub-categories, with FCB up for three Lions, Saatchi & Saatchi up for two, DDB up for two, Colenso up for two, and Y&R and WhybinTBWADAN up for one each.

Colenso BBDO’s Smartphone Line and FCB’s ‘food photo saves’ lives campaigns were the only two submissions from New Zealand to be nominated in more than one sub-category, as each campaign appeared twice among the shortlisted entries.

Saatchi & Saatchi NZ: ‘Tui Beer Plumber’ campaign for DB Breweries 

Saatchi & Saatchi New Zealand and ApolloNation NZ: Tui ‘Catch a MIllion’ campaign for DB Breweries.

Y&R NZ Auckland: ‘Cat Chat’ campaign for Animates

FCB: ‘Food Photo Saves Lives’ campaign for UNICEF (two nominations: response/real-time activity, and business products and services categories)

FCB: ‘Bank Job’ campaign for Brothers in Arms 

DDB: ‘Animal Strike’ campaign for Paw Justice

DDB: ‘#BringDowntheKing‘ campaign for Sky Television’s launch of the fourth season of Game of Thrones  

Colenso BBDO: ‘The Smartphone Line’ for Samsung (two nominations: use of social audience in a direct marketing campaign and product launch categories) 

WHYBINTBWADAN: ‘Results Don’t Lie’ campaign for CAANZ
