Billboard pushes boundary

In a similar fashion to its NZ Pure billboard at the Auckland airport, Boundary Road Brewery and Barnes, Catmur & Friends’ have launched a cheeky new billboard for its new Lawn Ranger brew and referenced the recent spate of trademark bullying

With DB winning the rights to use the generic term “radler”, the billboard on the Southern motorway near Ellerslie raises the finger to DB and brings a smile to passing motorists.

It’s also proved a hit on its Facebook page, along with another photo causing much mirth there, about the variety of beers in the All Blacks’ chugging changing room, something we pointed out a few days ago.

No word on how “fine” DB are with the campaign. Or on how the powers that be feel about a commercial entity manipulating an image for its own benefit.
