Who's it for: ANZ by DDB and Thick as Thieves/Assembly
Why we like it: Speaking of DDB and the Rugby World Cup, ANZ has gone big with its Welcome The World promotion, a competition launched as part of its sponsorship of the tournament that is asking Kiwis to come up with creative ways to welcome the 85,000 visitors expected to make the trip here. And while this ad has a bit of patriotic cheese, it's mixed in with some genuine patriotic excitement.
Why we like it: Ahhh, the sweet, nostalgic sounds of the Country Calendar jingle. You really can't lose if you combine that soundtrack with a few glorious images of a shiny Hyundai exploring the beautiful New Zealand countryside.
While the majority of political messages focus on rousing an individual’s sense of civic and democratic duty (such as Rock the Vote), Vice NZ is taking a slightly different route with its latest partnership with the Electoral Commission called ‘We Are New Zealand’.
