Vodafone leads the charge among TVNZ-NZ Marketing Awards finalists

The finalists of this year’s TVNZ-NZ Marketing Awards have been announced after a record number of entries were received. It won’t be long until champagne-filled glasses will once again be clinked together at the Langham, celebrating the best of marketing over the past year.

The entries were received after marketers were invited back in April to tell their stories and submit their best marketing initiatives into this year’s awards.

There were 151 entries (70 unique marketing initiatives) which make up the 2016 finalists.

Vodafone NZ is leading the pack, after being recognised as a finalist nine times, followed closely by Fisher & Paykel Healthcare and Eat My Lunch, each with eight nods and API Consumer Brands with seven.

The TVNZ NZ Marketing Awards, celebrating its 25th year, is a celebration of everything that makes marketing great in New Zealand and beyond.

It’s the only awards programme dedicated to recognising and rewarding excellence and thought leadership in the essential business practice and discipline of marketing.

New convener of judges and managing director of Bridges Marketing Consultancy Steve Bridges says it is great to see a record number of entries this year.

“I would like to thank all those who entered and congratulate everyone who had made it as a finalist. The judges had their work cut out for them and I am excited about seeing the entries that are victorious this year.”

Last year’s awards night was a sell-out and tickets are now on sale for this year’s awards, which will take place on Thursday 1 September at The Langham, Auckland. Bookings can be made here.

Last year’s awards saw Chorus’ Gigatown reigning supreme with Foodstuffs’ Jules Lloyd-Jones taking out Marketer of the Year.
