The Herald honours McNally’s legacy with advertising challenge

Last week, APN NZ announced the arrival of the Herald Advertising Challenge, an initiative designed to showcase the opportunities for large scale, integrated campaigns across Herald media channels and get agencies thinking about the possibilities. And, along with the previously announced prize pool, which includes $250,000 of agency rate card media to bring the winning campaign to life and a trip for two members of the team to attend the Festival of Media Global 2014 in Rome, it has announced that teams will also be playing for the Andrew McNally Cup.

Created as a tribute to APN’s former group sales director, who passed away unexpectedly last year, and his passion for creativity in advertising, McNally was an avid supporter of the advertising challenge initiative. So it was only fitting that his name adorns the trophy that teams will compete for each year.

Registrations open on Monday 10 February, and remain open until Friday 28 February. So whether you prefer a super-organised, stress free three-week project, or a first year, university-style all-nighter, it’s over to you.

From today, further details, T&Cs and an FAQ document are available at heraldadvertisingchallenge.co.nz. So all those raging questions can now be answered, including how to register and all the things you need to enter.
