Who’s it for: Vinomofo

Why we like it: While this nearly-three-minute long spot leads viewers on a slightly puzzling journey, there’s no denying it’s epic. Brands telling elaborate stories is nothing new to New Zealand screens, but with Vinomofo looking to make its new presence in the local wine market known, this is good effort to get lovers of a good drop to stop and look. The protagonist is also fitting to New Zealand culture, with the protagonist showing off his classic DIY attitude.

Who’s it for: Adidas by Augusto

Why we like it: With the All Blacks on a winning streak, little hype is needed to build support for the team, however this teaser campaign manages to build even more hype. The machine-like images and sounds suggests the new jersey has been created with the latest technology and is tough enough for the boys on the field. And with the video earning hundreds of likes in a matter of days, the new jersey is also set to be a revenue generator from all the fans picking one up for themselves to show their support.

Who’s it for: New World by Colenso BBDO

Why we like it: With supermarket chains opening more and more stores, customer service is becoming a bigger part of the decision of where to shop, and this spot is New World’s effort to position itself as the best. Aligning that customer service with the aim of increasing New Zealand’s ranking of eighth happiest nation intrigues audiences and shows the supermarket’s support for New Zealand. We would love to see a New World staff member always located at the egg aisle in case of emergency.
