TBWA\ embark on Starship enterprise

Following a competitive pitch, TBWATEQUILA has announced a new relationship with The Starship Foundation, further cementing the charitable work it has been doing with Mercury Energy and ASB, which are both five star sponsors of the foundation.

Andrew Young, chief executive of The Starship Foundation was impressed and excited by the depth of understanding TBWA TEQUILA had about Starship and all that it was trying to achieve to better care for New Zealand’s children.

“TBWA is going to be a great addition to our family of Starship supporters.”

TBWA general manager Aaron Taylor was equally enthusiastic: “We like nothing better than clients who understand what we’re about and the kind of work we deliver best. Andrew and his team are, absolutely, our kind of people.”

Executive creative director Andy Blood says it’s great to be working for New Zealand’s National Children’s hospital and while it’s a creative opportunity, the exciting challenge is converting brand awareness into serious donations.

“This relationship is about cementing Starship in the hearts and minds of New Zealanders and actually getting some hands in pockets to help Kiwi kids get better.”

TEQUILA has helped grow the Mercury Energy Star Supporters Club to deliver a significant contribution to The Starship Foundation. And TBWA’s most recent work on the ASB Starship Term Deposit has also been well received.

ASB’s general manager for brand, communication and marketing Deborah Simpson told the NBR the creative side of the ASB business, which has been with TBWA for ten years, is up for pitch.
