O’Sullivan to run Naked

Matt osullivanMedia director Matt O’Sullivan has resigned from Carat to set up the New Zealand arm of Naked, the international media agency.

The well known media buyer and planner was at Carat for a massive nine weeks and previously held senior positions with Media Edge CIA.

His ‘director’ role commences in November and Naked is seeking a second director to join him.

“I’m totally excited by this move,” says O’Sullivan. “I’ve been an admirer of Naked’s work for a long time. They’re an internationally recognised for their creative approach. They’re not your usual media agency.”

Naked handles Coca-Cola internationally and is owned in this part of the world by Photon Group, the Australian-listed communications group.

“Matt’s a first class operator and a strategic thinker of the highest caliber. We’re bloody excited about the potential Naked NZ has. It’s a market that values strategic creativity and intuitively gets the Naked offer,” says Mike Wilson, founding partner, Naked Australasia. “We have great relationships in NZ with our existing clients Coca-Cola and 42 Below.

“We are looking for other ambitious marketers to help foster a new way of communications thinking.”
